September 8-11th: Family Time. Didn't pay much attention to food, but lots of attention to family. Shuttling between Rancho Mirage and Long Beach while I supported my niece Erika in getting Yurika's affairs in order. The coroner is not able to tell us the cause of death for 8 weeks.

We enjoyed some favorite family places, the Daily Grill in Palm Desert (Erika loves it), and Mimi's Cafe. I enjoyed time with Colin and Collette, taking them to the 3-D version of Monster House, and to the Discovery Science Center in Santa Ana. This is where I showed them what happens to kids who don't mind their Auntie -- a bed of nails for them!
