Ton Kiang

Nice atmosphere, good food. My friend Sachiko introduced me to a very good Chinese restaurant in San Francisco, Ton Kiang. We started out with a couple of dim sum selections, which did not photograph well, but were delicious, a steamed shrimp and chive dumpling and a fried taro based one with a jewel of seasoned pork inside.

Mu Shu Pork Appetizer

We then moved on to a Mu Shu Pork appetizer, which was quite tasty, and well considered in an appetizer form.

Tender Greens

Then some tender greens. They were!

Crab with Egg Whites Fried Rice

And finally, we enjoyed some crab and egg white fried rice. Delicious! This restaurant is located in the Sunset, not so far across the bridge, and this gives me another excuse to go over it for!

Ton Kiang is actually in the Richmond district in San Francisco and I agree that it's got great food.

Oh! You are so right! I always get this mixed up, thinking Sunset extends farther north than it does! Thanks!
