The fireworks are going off now... we decided to come home a little early from Glen Ellen. Little Miss Olivia was fireworks enough! Firecracker indeed. You can hear the fireworks, but not see them from my place. We celebrated with a Miss Olivia in high spirits. Since it's the first time I've seen her since her birthday, I brought her birthday gift, in a singing bag! She was hooked and kept opening it to hear the music.
Since for some reason she had not any lit candles on her birthday cake at the time of her party (lack of a match?), we replayed it with the leftover cake, and I had my camera at the ready. My Dad was coaching her on the blowing technique. She blew out all 6 candles.
Linda, her grandmother, told us about Webkinz, quite an elaborate toy. It starts with buying a stuffed animal with a code on it. Then you input the code at the Webkinz website and are then responsible for feeding it and keeping it healthy, and buying it food with KinzCash. Yalda gave her mother such an incredulous look when she described how you have to earn money by playing games in order to feed your animal! This was a lovely 4th!
