View lunch. Yesterday's lunch was at Gaylord India Restaurant, located in south Sausalito. Yes, the above photo is the very view I had from my table, however, to avoid the glass, I took it outside after my meal. As with the front of the building below.
I was greeted immediately, made to feel welcome, and was seated at the window, as you can see from my initial photo a gorgeous view!
I ordered the Tandoori Combination (roasted Lamb and Chicken), served with salad, basmati rice, papadum and onion kulcha bread. The salad was quite fresh, and the papadum crisp and peppery.
The main dish followed promptly and the chicken was tender and succulent, the lamb had just enough spice to be interesting. Prompt and friendly service, good food and fabulous view make for a very returnable place!

Hmm, I think I might have returnabled that bit of lamb - it looks, well, a wee bit off-putting.
Hopefully there was some Kheer or gulabs and ice cream to follow, Yum -I'm a bit fond of a couple of the gulabs, myself, so I am.
Bon Appetite!
Are these the same people who run the Gaylords in the Embarcadero Center in SF? I go there before movies at the embarcadero cinemas sometimes to get me into the int'l mood :)
Ahvarahn: I rarely eat lamb, but it did have a good taste despite it's looks..
The default attorney: Actually it's not. I understand that it is a relocation of the Gaylord's which used to be in Ghirardelli Square which is owned/run by a separate group.
Thanks everyone for your comments!
I love Indian food, and that looks really good!
Great blog!

Ummmmmmm.... congratulations for your blog. All looks ok... I'll go to eat it now :)
I'm too stingey to eat at restaurants and, besides, you don't know if they have spat in your food or not, or whether they have cockroaches or rats. And have you seen those chefs on TV taste the stuff as they cook it? GROSS!
wow..
nice place..

Gaylord Restaurant!!!!!!
hi anna, well seem your are keen on try different cuisine, well to be honest, am not. well, am an Indian, and am veggi, and ask u to try out authentic Indian veggis, specially south Indian.
Wow! Didn't realize Indian food had so many fans in America. That lamb as a matter of fact looks awesome. I can almost taste it!!!
Ask these guys if they're the same guys who own the Gaylord's in Bombay. If they do, ask them to start offering their bakery items as well. The Bombay Gaylord's has a KICK-ASS coconut macroon!!!
Must feel nice to have your blog featured on the Blogger home page. Congratulations!
The pictures look very nice... wish i was there..~

Thanks everyone!!
Sags Universe: Yes, I will certainly look for south Indian veggie. I often go to another more modest Indian restaurant in Sausalito and my favorite is their veggie plate. Not sure what part of India the food is from though.
Opinionated: Yes, Indian food is quite popular in the US and I love it, so healthy and wonderful spicing! I'll have to ask next time about the Bombay connection.
Colddrinkfriends: Yes, that we eat animals is sad, even if we are used to it. I am an omnivore, but I am mindful and appreciative of food, and try to skew my meals towards the vegetarian usually.
hi i am an indian...and i like papadam!
Sikh Kebab and Tandoori chicken! It looks soooo gooood! Reminds of the days when I was in Pakistan. :(
Btw, next time if you go there please send me some of that food through mail.. hehe :)
