I read a note in Sunset that it's time to 'force' paperwhites. It also promised to have fragrant flowers from these bulbs in 4-6 weeks. So last week I visited the Sloat Garden Center over the hill on E. Blythedale. Sloat has some with shoots already peeking out, so these had a head start. However, the tiny shoots have grown up amazingly in one short week! I had a lovely red container that Linda gave me one year for Christmas with some bulbs in it which I am delighted to reuse for this.
