That's a cool little video and a very persuasive encapsulation of the reasons I read every package and why I like Andronico's, where they label where foods originate.
Zoomie, Actually there is an Andronico's in San Anselmo, a 17.4 mile round trip from my place. I didn't know that they have labeled things so well though. It is a little too far for daily shopping, but now I'll be sure to stop when I'm out that way. On your other posting about Woodland's I like that one too, and it's a bit closer. And it is pricey. I'm looking forward to the Whole Foods opening within a little stretch of a walking distance from my house. Although I have to say I was disappointed the other day when I needed to bring salmon to a friend and their only choice was farmed! Also in Corte Madera market there is a good place Bryan's Fine Foods, but not all local.
The original online database of food inspection reports in Marin County was updated and moved to another URL in 2012. The pre-2012 links in posts here will not work, but you can look up all restaurants ratings here.
