Inventive lunch. I stopped by Sushi to Dai For in San Rafael, and tried a daily special I couldn't refuse.
First came a flavorful and hot bowl of miso soup.
Then came the California Don, sushi rice with tempura salmon, asparagus, avocado, with some lemon slices, ginger and wasabi. It was as good as it looks. Not having enough Japanese this week, I had a Japanese meal again last evening at Osakaya in San Francisco's Japantown. No photos, but it was a good homey meal of sansai ramen.

That looks soooo delicious. I could eat Japanese every day of the week and still go back for more.
