Well I'm certain of it now. Christophe's name has been painted over on the building, the person who ran the elist for news of Christophe hasn't replied to my query about the status of the restaurant, and yesterday a press release came round that showed that Chef Pierre Smets has joined Côté Sud in the Castro district of San Francisco. It's closed.
