It's a new day!
Finally! Inauguration Day has arrived! I have no desire to blog about food when such a paradigm shift is happening. In with hope and heart and out with fear and force! Now what will WE do for our country? Let's get to work!

I think I'll keep being mad. It's an enormous motivator.
And -- happy.
Anna, the picture and your words. Perfect tribute and perfect challenge. Yay, America!
Welcome Cookiecrumb & Zoomie! What a day! Did you weep like me? It just got me at the part about poverty in his speech. Cried there every time I've watched it!
Yes, I wept for joy, both at his speech and at Rev. Lowry's wonderful prayer at the end. Not to mention Aretha's wonderful rendition - and her spectacularly perfect outfit. I loved the whole day!
Zoomie, yes, that prayer. One of my friends said that Rev. Lowry's prayer made him look at prayer in a whole new light. Oh, and Aretha! And that hat! Everytime I saw it I exclaimed to whoever that was listening "I love that hat!". It reminded me of the unusual ones my great-aunts used to sport when I was a child.
