East Meets West at Home

Raclette

Call me a wimp, but it was too chilly to go out last night! My eyes were drawn to some raclette cheese at Molly Stone's during my grocery stop on the way home from the office, and so was born a warm Swiss meal. I served it to myself in a lovely sushi boat that my friend Sachiko dropped off on Saturday. Sachiko is going to be relocating back to Japan soon and is parcing through those things she wants to move, or not. The raclette was indeed warm and delicious, and oh so simple with some traditional cornichons and some marinated cipollini onions that looked good too.

Paperwhite blooms

And why not dine in the shadow of the paperwhites when they are so gloriously in full bloom?

What a fantastic culture collision. I quite like it.

I just love the great finds at Mollie Stones! That looks like a lovely little dinner.

If you get a chance you should try their Caraway Seed Havarti on the wall where the cheeses are next to the yogurt, etc. I love that cheese and get it every time I stop in MS!

I've been meaning to leave you a comment about your Mexican restaurant post the other day. I am shocked at how many Mexican places we have here in Marin!!!! Thank you for opening my eyes to so many places I hadn't even heard of before and for reminding me of some of my forgotten favorites!
